What is tissue culture and what are root cuttings? What are the pros and cons of each?
Currently i assume root cuttings are just pieces of root that are able to turn into plants.

Yes. Especially with thick-rooted Drosera. You can't take root cutting from everything and don't confuse them with rhizome cuttings.

You can get great results typing the genus e.g. Drosera and root cuttings into google too. Is gr8 for specific species too
