I am Bob Ziemer. My day job is Adjunct Professor in the Geology Department at Humboldt State University. I have been growing CPs since 1955 when I bought a package containing 3 Venus Flytraps from a Woolworths five and dime store on Shattuck Avenue in Berkeley. I still am growing clones from those 3 original plants. I created and maintain the CP Photo Finder. users.humboldt.edu/rziemer/ I am currently an ICPS Board member and share responsibilities in maintaining this Forum and the ICPS official web site.

Not to mention the fact that Bob is active in theatre, and is currently holding a starring role in an Arcata theatrical production!

No kiddin'! That is awsome. Its amazing what we don't know about the other interests of our CP cohorts. Acting would scare the bejeebus outta me.

Greetings Bob. Were the three VFTs packaged in a plastic container designed to look like a little greenhouse? I remember those!

nice to make your acquaintance, bobz! your photo finder has helped me a lot (especially the nepenthes and nepenthes hybrids pages) in identifying and naming correctly a few specimens in my collection. well, we'll see if i got them right when i post the pictures in the nepenthes section of the forum.
thank you
carlos
