Things look a little toastier inside my terrariums: Of which I have three: one for highlander nepenthes and heliamphoras - One for lowlander nepenthes. I also keep some cephalotus and two species of drosera - And one that I keep both lowlanders and utrics:

Nice bogs!
What's the red plant, bottom right in the first terrarium photo?

Nice bogs! What's the red plant, bottom right in the first terrarium photo? That is Drosera falconeri. This is a closeup from a few months ago:

I told myself that I had TOO many mini-bog gardens and I should slow down, but I just HAD to create another one for the fabled "Adrian Slack". I'm very excited about this one.

Not one but TWO. Highly unusual for S x moorei. I wonder if that hints at parentage.

"Brokken's mini-bogs: where too many Sarracenia are never enough!" Isn't that the truth. I can't help myself I'm addicted to my hobby.

This was sold as a very small specimen of S. rosea. It's a very pretty-looking purpurea but I don't see the tell-tale signs of rosea in it - the greatly expanded nectar roll nor the gloriously large undulated hood. Maybe it's still juvenile. However, there IS something this year which should remove all doubt: It's about to flower. We'll see if I've been had or have the real McCoy:

Often eclipsed by the larger sarras rests my little darlingtonia. I am not sure if it's really thriving though. It's certainly surviving though I'm not sure about its long term viability. Still... It's looking fairly nice right now:

Dionaea pot looking less-than-stellar. Last year, I let all of the VFTs flower and had very weak growth. Cutting off the flowers this year.
