Translations into French and German are in progress and publication on French, French-Canadian and German Forums will follow upon their completion.
The search is on for volunteers to translate the registry rules into Bahasa Indonesia, Japanese and Spanish. Please PM me if you can assist in any way.
I will soon be contacting Mr. John Brittnacher of the ICPS, at the suggestion of Barry Rice, in order to discuss technical questions regarding database and internet interface technologies and how they can be accommodated to the needs of the proposed system.
By May of this year these proposals should be available, in multiple languages, on forums around the world, The proposals will undergo a final editing and be submitted to CP Societies, including the ICPS, for publication and dissemination in their Newsletters and Journals.
Also in May, the proposed system will be submitted as an abstract for presentation at the Sarawak Nepenthes Summit 2007.
In August the Registry would be presented at the Sarawak Nepenthes Summit in Kuching. Registry Rules and Procedures would then be published in the proceeding of the conference.
The Conference in Kuching would mark the beginning of the two year registry transitionary period.
August 2007 - August 2008 First Year of Transition Phase
In the first transitionary year breeders would be expected to submit data regarding greges, created before 2007, and intended for registration. This data would be received by the agent of the registry and used to determine registry priorities.
Work would begin on the construction of the registry database and internet interface.
Education efforts would continue throughout the year.
August 2008 - August 2009 Second Year of Transition Phase
During the second transitionary year breeders would be expected to finalize the registration of all greges created before 2007.
After August of 2009 registration priority would be established by being the first to register.
