Sorry, I thought the quote would be in the box by itself, separate from commentary......

I fixed your post, Joe. Your reply was simply inside the /quote.

This is a King that I keep in the bathroom under one of those Intelligent Plant Lights. It has been there for over a year now and seems happy. The IPL has a dish on the bottom that holds water for humidity, and it stays cool to boot. The added humidity when we bath and shower helps a bunch too. The King shares this arrangement with a Drosera gramnifolia.

I've heard of the close family ties between D. regia & D. muscipula... Here's a link to a paper BobZ sent me when I made an inquiry about this question www.amjbot.org/cgi/reprint/90/1/123 Here's some interesting pics for you all to check out: Has anyone seen this forking of Regia leaves before? Looks reminiscent of the two-headed Flytap syndrome and just as unrepeatable: Any thoughts or comments are most welcome as I am not much of a genetiscist, more like just some guy who grows weird plants in his apartment...

My first attempt at growing this species failed as well...I wonder how a more tuberous Drosera approach would work? Clint, were you growing your indoors?

I grew it indoors. It eventually succumbed to the heat. Then one sprouted up in a Nepenthes pot from a root that got left behind, it did OK for a while and then I traded it away for..... can't remember.

That regia got jealous of the binata... maybe you could name it as a new variety D.regia var binataensis.
Dave.
