Fabulous (as always)! I'm going to venture to say that your N. globosa is a hybrid, however. Maybe with N. thorelii.
A nice plant, at any rate!

Excellent as usual, Alex! How do you grow your Drosera erythrorhiza ssp. collina and what is your average temp? GORGEOUS plant, as well as the rest! Kudos, Brian.

Wow! Nice, very nice. How many grow areas do you have Alex? It seems there is the greenhouse, and several tanks, there would have to be one for the petiolaris group, something a bit cooler for the heli's and then there are the neps? ?? Is your whole house dedicated to CP's or what? Dave.

Hi, The sp. Viking pitcher is not of an upper. Wrong tendril placement, and wrong pitcher shape. Though there isn't a good pic of the underside of the lid, from what I can see, there is no glandular boss, which means it is not sp. Viking. I also have doubts to it being sp. Viking. When I first saw the picture, the first thing I thought of was thorelii Giant Tiger. At any rate, it looks to me like a thorelii or thorelii hybrid. Regarding the publication of the name, Kurata withdrew his description last year. He now feels that it is a geotype of mirabilis. I personally do not agree with this , seeing as while the leaves are similar, there are many, many differences. For one, sp. Viking forms tubers...but so does at least 1 mirabilis geotype. Hard to say until more study is done, but I personally would split the species. How does one even become a taxonomist anyway? I have a BS in bio...do I just set up shop? lol. Grüße aus Texas

lol. One time I asked my favorite botany prof what the term for a certain characteristic was. He said it didn't have one, so I told him there should be one. He then yelled, "NO! Taxonomists like making up 56 different names for the same thing! If it ain't broke..."
