Some pics of the Nepenthes that I grow as windowsill plants in a south facing sliding glass door. Enjoy Nepenthes Marbled Dragon (N. maxima - dark x N. truncata) (Exotica hybrid) Nepenthes bicalcarata - This plant has stalled growing a few times because of it getting root bound in a small pot. Nepenthes x Rokko clone A x Nepenthes hamata Nepenthes rajah - This plant has stalled growing a few times because of it getting root bound in a small pot. Nepenthes rajah - pitcher forming Nepenthes aristolochioides Nepenthes rafflesiana Nepenthes hamata

Lol. I've used one of elgecko's hamata pics (from another forum) as my desktop picture since I saw it quite a while ago.

How hard is it to take care of aristolochioides?

I have had no problems with the plant settling in.

I guess I'm kinda surprised that some of those work fine on window sills. It's really cool that you can do that though.

I've had really bad luck with nepenthes. Finally I've got a ventricosa red that's formed nice new pitchers. I'll have to repot soon I'm thinking of a tall skinny one for this year, and maybe a wider pan for next year.
That way I can sit it in water on my windowsill.

Please don't sit it in water. Most Nepenthes don't appreciate wet feet!

Don't worry. I won't let its "feet" get wet.. I'll have at least 3" of lava rock in the bottom, and I'm thinking of a tube about 10" tall. An inch or two of water shouldn't be a problem the rest of this growing season.

Please don't sit it in water. Most Nepenthes don't appreciate wet feet! Many lowlanders do though. Depends on what you have. The N. ventricosa 'red' is definitely not one though.

Thanks for the comments. lol cndncp short comment ...lol but back to the topic okay umm... elgecko how old is your Nepenthes aristolochioides because my friend has had one for a long time now and its not as big as yours....maybe his is root bound... The Nepenthes aristolochioides I've had for about a year and a half now. It is a very slow growing plant and has not increased in size much. Newest Nepenthes bicalcarata pitcher, since it has a larger pot now. My windowsill.
