It¡¦s time to sow your seed if you live in the area autumn is coming. I always sow my seed on Spetember 1. Other months were for trial purpose. Sow in autumn is the best. 1. You should have seed. 2. Cut or grind the seed. (It's the key, until its white part almost appear or appear) August 28, 2009 3. In my experience this step is not necessary: Soak the seed in water or GA3 8 ~ 24 hours. (I'd tried) 4. Prepare a pot and medium. Keep 1/4 part of the medium stand in water to keep the medium moist. (any kind of medium is Ok but it MUST without fertilizer. I ususally used bright color it is easy for me to check the seed). 5. Put the seed on the surface of moist medium don¡¦t bury the seed. (you need to see it everyday, and transplant it immediately while it germ. Its root system will grow and spread very soon) 6. Cover the pot with plastic bag. (Light is not must) 7. Wait and check the seed every day. It may take six weeks or longer 8. Any sign of root out (white color). You must transplant it immediately to its final pot. 9. Next step¡K.

12, While your seedling grow higher than half then drier the media. (It still needs water in this stage. It does not need to stand in the water, but you need to check it every day and water it while it withered. if you let it stand in water you may let it rot. Anyway, it is very crtical in this period) 13. Drier and drier, within first two leaves to four leaves. 14. Now, keep it dry when it has six leaves. 15. Use slack-potting. www.sarracenia.com/faq/faq3190.html16. Keep it in bright and have a roof to protect it from raining. 17. End. It was very difficult for me on the begining. Few seeds, seed difficult to germinate, it easy to rot even it germinated after long wait. And only winter can try each year. I open my years experience due to I would like to save this rare prety plant. Have a nice growing.
