Hello, a short overview of some of the D. spatulata-forms, that i am currently growing. I got this plant as Drosera natalensis from BCP some years ago. That was clearly wrong. The interesting thing on this plant are the stipules. None of my other D. spatulata has such prominet stipules. Drosera spatulata 'Tamlin' This is a registered cultivar. That plant flowers white and gets deeply red when exposed to sun. Drosera spatulata - Beenak, Victoria, Australia. A relatively compact plant, that colors up nicely. The flowers are pink. Drosera spatulata respectively Drosera lovellae. This form flowers white. The main difference to other forms are the four divided ovary (other forms have five divided ovaries). The type location is Fraser Island, so i suppose, that all plants from that location fall under this label (??).

Drosera spatulata - Demiston West Coast, New Zealand This plant stay more or less green. It is quite hairy. Drosera spatulata - Fraser Island (=Drosera spatulata "lovellae"?? ) Drosera spatulata - Tamboon Inlet, Victoria, Australien. Not really red or green. I like it Drosera spatulata - Queenstown, Tasmania flowers white, plants get deep red. Drosera spatulata var gympiensis - Gympie, Queensland, Australia. This is amongst my favorite forms of Drosera spatulata. The main difference to other forms are the hairy calyx. I hope you like the pictures. Maybe, the one or the other get some more interested in this interesting complex. Christian
