Ctd... VFT 'Spider' Drosophyllum 'Ubrique' flower Same plant a few weeks ago Some of my B gigantea seedlings. Some of the seeds came from the excellent CPS seedbank D lasiantha. A crap photo, but I love the way it forms such towers A few CPs growing in the house at room temperature. Most of these photos are from today: D ascendens 'red' (grown under lights but not in a terrarium). For the first time, and after multiple attempts, I seem to have hit upon a way of growing S American Drosera D schizandra (grown in unheated propagator on North-facing windowsill in my lounge) D prolifera (ditto) Nepenthes veitchii x maxima growing in my bathroom. I'm sure it would do better in a greenhouse, but it pitchers in spring, summer and autumn. This plant grows in the same pot, but has different leaves and pitchers. I think it is N maxima

Nice pics but I need to ask. Why are you growing some of them in a terrarium? I have Nepethes, Drosera, Sarracenia, and VFT. Only my Nepethes, and Drosera grow inside my house, the sarreacenia and vft grow outside all year around here in NJ zone 7. Unless I'm missing something could you alaborate please.
Thanks, Glenn

Hi Glenn,
The only plants that I grow in a terrarium are lowland tropicals (petiolaris and annual Drosera, lowland Neps and annual Byblis), although I do keep my Queensland Drosera in an unheated propagator to maintain high humidity. The Sarracenia, VFT and Drosophyllum are in a greenhouse, not a terrarium. In the UK, most Sarracenia grow far better in a greenhouse than outside with no protection. I think that this is more to do with cool winters and autumns than winter lows.

Hi, Greg, Thanks for info. I forget that people from all over the world are on here with all kinds of growing conditions. In the spring I will post some of my flowers even though I don't have as many. Good Growing, Glenn
